NYAC- notyeraveragechick Saturday Night on the Front Porch Herf

For tonight's tele-herf, we opted to sit outside on the patio. Despite the humidity of earlier in the day, there was a nice little breeze blowing...a perfect night to sit out side and enjoy a couple of Partagas Blacks! So, while we sat there chatting with LilBro on the cordless, we lit our Magnifico's and he lit the Gigante we sent in a recent "care package". Perfect evening to have perfect smokes!

Lisa B. Cigar Reviews for women at herhumidor.com

For those of you who do not know, my name is Lisa and I have a website called www.herhumidor.com in which I review all kinds of cigars from mild to medium and from small to large. Most cigar review sites are written by men and I thought it was high time a woman, such as myself, stuck her nose in and gave her opinion. I don't post every day because I have a full time job and two kids to take care of, but I do what I can. I wouldn't mind if anyone would like to contribute reviews to the site. If y… Continue

NYAC- notyeraveragechick morning thoughts.....with a side of coffee

Yesterday must have been the day from hell for everyone. Everyone I talked to was exhausted, their day was screwed up, and they couldn’t wait to unwind! My day was no exception to that. I went in early to cover for staff shortage. Without fail, eveyone who announces their work is all caught up before they leave for their time off has just signed the shenanigans warrant for the duration of the time they’re off. When I left last night, I was drained and frustrated with the fact that despite two of… Continue

Ayo I'm not a happy smoker right now

I bought at the recommendation of a manager and fellow social cigarer a nice cigar, kinda petite, sweet tobacco and it's lost! I've been looking for a couple of weeks now. My roommate said she didn't move it, my son - well I KNOW he didn't, cause he doesn't clean up (LOL) - it grew legs and walked out of my house! haha. I don't even remember the name of it to go and buy another! grrrrrr, all I can do is go back to the store, hope the guy remembers and go to the section where we found it (if I ca… Continue

Damseln D'Stress So tell me...is A Cigar just a Cigar - and a Great Woman is truly a Great Woman.....

Or is it even better that a Great Woman is even greater if she is a Woman who Smokes a Cigar? As I look around at the buzz of activity here together with the comments, and emails I received congratulating me on taking this leap of faith - my cup over floweth! I knew Women in the cigar culture were under served, and misunderstood - and I knew it would only be a matter of time until we took up our cigars in Revival. What I didn't foresee is, how my involvement would become so well defined thrust… Continue

Damseln D'Stress Cigar Women and mediocrity?

I adopted this passion of mine some time ago - and maybe to some that read this, and by now you know that I've researched, blogged, promoted, canvassed, it might even appear that I'm somewhat of a revolutionary! Go figure..... My efforts are all in the name of Cigar Smoking Women - that'd be us at C4W - the sisters of the leaf. I hadn't quite expected this "movement" to take off the way it has, and the way it looks - this is only the begining. So as I was walking this afternoon - just after post… Continue

Cherry Bomb Back From Vacation...

Well, it was kinda a vacation, lol... I visited a bunch of friends in NJ, and then I helped my best friend move into her new house and I painted a mural in her son's bedroom. (Pics coming soon!) Anyway, sorry for the absence, I had no internet connection while I was gone, and I was too busy to get online anyway. I hope everyone is having a great Spring! Continue

Damseln D'Stress and the Winners are - every cloud has a silver lining....

Well ladies, I fought the fight - I gave it everything I have. I really did, and for those of you who know me from Social Cigar, you know how much this contest meant for me, for this, and for that.... The results were announced this evening, and although deep in my heart of hearts, I knew I was the underdog, but I didn't let that deter my efforts in winning the competition - and as much as I knew the chances were slim to none, I wanted this, maybe too much for the wrong reason in their eyes....… Continue

NYAC- notyeraveragechick Sometimes it's GOOD to be a girl in a man's arena.....Part 2

So today we went to another TCC event: AtadisUSA Cabinet Selections. We had bought a box of Monte Cabinets about 6 months ago, so Dave knew we'd be wanting to come to this! He told us they'd be running a special - buy 3 get one free. Cool Deal. It was after payday, so after groceries we managed to save a few bucks to take advantage of the special. For some time now, we've been pining over a few of the boxes in the Cabinet humi that were in bloom. We walked in and were greeted by Tim P., Territor… Continue

NYAC- notyeraveragechick Sometimes it's GOOD to be a girl in a man's arena.....

I just went to two of the most amazing events this weekend. The first one, I had to do some schedule juggling to get to since I work second shift. But it was worth the effort! Sam Leccia brought his Nubs and his rolling table to the Tobacco Company Cigars. We frequent there but this was our first "event" there. It was a beautiful evening, and they had the doors open and people were standing outside by the Mini Cooper to be raffled off in the future and there was a small crowd inside watching Sam… Continue
